Brett Robson
Independent Board Chair

Brett Robson was appointed Independent Board Chair of ESR in July 2025. Brett brings significant strategic, operational, managerial, and investment expertise in roles spanning real estate corporate finance, asset management, principal investment, financial advisory, and capital raising services.

Up until June 2024 when he stepped down as a full-time executive, Brett served as Global Head of Macquarie Asset Management Real Estate. During his 21-year tenure at Macquarie, he held numerous leadership roles, including Global Head of Macquarie Capital Real Estate Investments, and served on various boards of its portfolio company investments and investment committees of its real estate funds. Prior to Macquarie, Brett spent over 11 years at Lendlease, where he held senior roles covering real estate funds, asset, and development management. He currently also serves as Chairman of Investa Management Holdings.

Brett holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment.

Shen Jinchu, Jeffrey
Co-founder and Co-CEO

Shen Jinchu, Jeffrey is Co-founder and Co-CEO of ESR, where he oversees overall operations and business development. Together with the executive leadership team, Jeffrey drives ESR’s vision, strategy, and key decision-making. He was Co-founder of e-Shang prior to the 2016 merger that formed ESR.

Jeffrey has over 25 years of industrial real estate experience in China and previously held senior positions in leading real asset management firms. He was Senior Vice President at GLP Investment Management (China) Co. Ltd. (formerly Prologis China), and Deputy Director of DTZ Debenham Tie Leung International Property Advisers. Prior to that, he was the assistant general manager of marketing at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone Xin Development Co., Ltd.

Jeffrey graduated from the Shanghai Jiaotong University in China and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Economics. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Donghua University in China.

Stuart Gibson
Co-founder and Co-CEO

Stuart Gibson is Co-founder and Co-CEO of ESR, where he is responsible for overseeing ESR’s overall operations and business development. Together with the executive leadership team, Stuart drives ESR’s vision, strategy, and key decision-making. He was Co-founder of the Redwood group prior to the 2016 merger that formed ESR.

Stuart has over 37 years of real estate development and investment experience in Asia, which includes 22 years in the Japanese industrial real estate sector. He was formerly the country head of Prologis Japan, and former Co-founder and Co-CEO of AMB BlackPine, which was subsequently incorporated into Prologis. Stuart was also the Chairman of AMB Property Corporation Japan Advisory Committee.

Philip Pearce
President

Phil Pearce is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of ESR’s strategic priorities and operations in his current role as President. He joined ESR in 2017 and since then has held the positions of Deputy CEO, ESR Group and CEO of ESR Australia & New Zealand, where he played a pivotal role in driving strategic growth and operational excellence.

With over 25 years of experience across the Asia-Pacific region, Phil has held senior positions at Goodman Group, including Managing Director – Greater China, where he oversaw the buildup of the China and Hong Kong businesses. He has also worked at Ascendas REIT in Singapore and AMP Capital Limited in Sydney.

Phil holds a Bachelor in Land Economy from the University of Western Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance from the Australian Securities Institute. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors

Matthew Lawson
Chief Financial Officer

Matthew Lawson is Chief Financial Officer of ESR, overseeing all aspects of the finance function and leading key performance and business simplification initiatives to drive productivity and operational excellence across the Group.

Previously, Matthew was Group Chief Operating Officer, where he supported the Co-CEOs and worked closely with the ESR business unit leadership in delivering key growth initiatives and optimising the company’s operating capabilities. He joined ESR Australia as its Chief Financial Officer in 2020, where he managed the finance, corporate development, treasury, and information technology functions.

Matthew brings with him over 20 years of experience in leading global real estate investment and financial services companies across the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining ESR, he was an Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels Limited. Before this, he was a Managing Director at JPMorgan and head of their real estate investment banking practice in Asia, based in Hong Kong.

Matthew holds a Bachelor of International Business Relations from Griffith University, a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Queensland, and a certificate in Chinese Studies from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and Nanjing University.

Karine Scelles
Chief People Officer

Karine Scelles is Chief People Officer of ESR, responsible for leading the company’s people and culture strategy. Karine oversees the implementation of HR policies and programmes to build engaged, high-performing teams, foster a culture of inclusion, and elevate organisational capabilities to realise ESR’s business goals and strategic priorities.

With over 20 years of international HR leadership experience in Asia and Europe, Karine brings a wealth of expertise in organisational and cultural transformation across leading multinational companies such as Alstom, General Electric, and Otis. Her leadership style is rooted in a growth mindset, empowering teams, driving engagement, and creating sustainable solutions to attract, develop, and retain talent. She has also been recognised for her contributions to mental well-being, having received industry awards for her initiatives in this important area.

Karine holds a Master’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Paris Nanterre and a Master’s degree in Instructional Design from University of Rouen in France. She is also a certified master practitioner in neuro-linguistic programming.

Josh Daitch
Chief Investment Officer - Investor Solutions and Investments

Josh Daitch is Chief Investment Officer – Investor Solutions and Investments of ESR, focusing on the company’s clients, investor engagement, capital raising, product development, and fund management.

Josh joined ESR in 2018 and brings over 30 years of international real estate investment management experience. He has held leadership roles across the private equity and real estate spectrum in various financial institutions, including Mesirow Financial, where he was the founder of the Institutional Real Estate division, and Goldman Sachs, where he helped launch the Archon Group real estate operating subsidiary (now Goldman Sachs Realty Management).

Josh received his Master of Business Administration degree from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with High Distinction from the University of Michigan.

David Matheson
Chief Investment Officer - Group Strategy and Investments

David Matheson is Chief Investment Officer – Group Strategy and Investments of ESR, focusing on corporate strategy, balance sheet investment management, capital allocation, and enhancing the company’s investment platform.

David joined ESR in July 2025 from Starwood Capital Group, where he was a member of Starwood’s global Investment and Operating committees and responsible for the firm’s real estate investments and asset management activities across Europe and Asia Pacific, including leading Starwood’s investment in ESR and its subsequent privatisation.

Previously, David was an Executive Vice President at Oxford Properties Group, where he was a member of their Executive Committee and Investment Committee. He spent eight years at Oxford, leading investment and development activity across Europe and Asia Pacific. In total, he has been involved in over $40 billion in real estate equity and credit investments across the logistics, data centre, office, retail, residential, and hospitality sectors.

Prior to his time at Oxford, David spent over a decade in European investment banking, most recently at Goldman Sachs, completing over $10 billion in transactions across M&A, equity, and debt capital markets.

David received a B.A. degree in Modern Languages (Honours) from Oxford University.

John Marsh
Group Head of Development
Chairman of ESR Australia & New Zealand

John Marsh is responsible for leading growth initiatives across the ESR group. John draws on his deep industry experience to forge long-term partnerships with key customers and capital partners, as well as scale major development projects across ESR’s markets. He also continues to oversee the strategic direction and performance of the company’s energy transition infrastructure business. John is also Chairman of ESR Australia & New Zealand.

John has over 30 years of real estate and property experience in a successful career managing logistics real estate and forging a global network of relationships in property, commerce and industry. Prior to the integration of LOGOS into ESR in 2024, as LOGOS Co-founder, John spearheaded a number of landmark projects including large-scale logistics hubs, multi-tenant estates, and bespoke warehouse solutions for global e-commerce, retail, and third-party logistics clients. His leadership directly contributed to the expansion of LOGOS’ portfolio to over 12.7 million square metres of property owned and under development, with assets under management valued in excess of US$24 billion across over 40 ventures in 10 countries with a team of 350 people.

John’s qualifications and career foundations are in architecture and engineering in the commercial and industrial sectors.

Grace Yuen
General Counsel

Grace Yuen is General Counsel, responsible for leading ESR’s legal strategy and function. In this role, she advises the executive leadership team, shaping the overall legal and regulatory strategy to ensure alignment with ESR’s investment and operational goals. She oversees legal execution of strategic transactions, while managing governance, compliance, ESG frameworks, and legal risk across the company.

Grace brings over 18 years of legal advisory experience across the investment life cycle and multiple asset classes. Prior to joining ESR, she was Managing Director and Head of Legal, Asia at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments), where she was their first lawyer on the ground in Asia Pacific and built its regional legal function. A member of CPP Investments’ APAC Leadership Team and Global Legal Leadership Team, Grace was also a strategic adviser and thought partner to senior leadership in APAC and the broader organisation.

Previously, Grace was a senior corporate lawyer at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton and several other top tier UK and US law firms specialising in complex, multi-jurisdictional mergers and acquisitions, private equity and other strategic transactions and has led high profile deals in real asset and other sectors. She has worked in London, Brussels, and Hong Kong.

Grace holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Yale University and is a graduate of BPP Law School. She is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales, and Hong Kong.

Thomas Nam
Chief Executive Officer, ESR Korea

Mr. Sunwoo Thomas Nam is the CEO of ESR Kendall Square, the Group’s South Korea Platform. With over 26 years of experience in the real estate sector, he was the President of Prologis Korea, once the largest logistics asset investment and development platform in South Korea. Previously he founded Kendall Square Investment, a real estate investment management company in Korea with Warburg Pincus. He was also the Head of Overseas Investment at Samsung Life Insurance, and the Director of Investment at Rodamco Asia based in Hong Kong. He holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University / the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology; and a master’s degree in real estate development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Abhijit Malkani​
Chief Executive Officer, India

As Chief Executive Officer, India at ESR, Abhijit Malkani is responsible for devising and executing the overarching growth strategy for the company’s Indian business and operations. His remit spans investments, development, leasing, and fund management.

Abhijit brings over 30 years of experience in the real estate sector across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Of these, more than 15 years have been dedicated to the industrial and logistics real estate sector in the Indian market.

Prior to joining ESR, Abhijit was a member of the founding team and Managing Director of IndoSpace, where he played a pivotal role in transforming the company into a leading logistics real estate developer in India. He has also held senior management roles with several distinguished industry names, including Prologis where he was country head and established the Indian operations of the company.

Abhijit holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Delhi, India.

Jai Mirpuri
Head, Southeast Asia
Mr. Jai Mirpuri is Head, Southeast Asia driving business strategies and expanding ESR’s footprint across Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Mr. Mirpuri took on this expanded portfolio in March 2024.

With over 20 years of experience (including over 16 years with ESR Group), Mr. Mirpuri has raised over US$2 billion in funds raised and 50 investments across Japan, China, Singapore and India. Before his current appointment, he was Head of ESR Singapore Development & ESR Thailand. His past roles include co-CEO of ESR India and Head of Investments for Japan & China for Redwood Group (now ESR). Prior to joining ESR, Mr. Mirpuri has worked at Deutsche Bank (Singapore) & Capital One Bank (USA). He has an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelors and Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Bombay.
Zhou Bo​
Chief Operating Officer, ESR China

Mr. Zhou Bo joined ESR (formerly e-Shang) as China’s COO in 2013. With over 20 years of experience in the logistics and real estate industries in China, Mr. Zhou started his career in Sinotrans Group in 1995 as Company Secretary of Sinotrans Air Transportation Development Company Limited, Managing Director of Exel-Sinotrans Freight Forwarding Company Limited and General Manager of Sinotrans Logistics Limited. He was the Vice President and Head of North Region of Prologis China from 2006 to 2010 and Senior Vice President and Head of Operations of GLP China (formerly Prologis China) from 2010 to 2012. Mr. Zhou holds an MBA from Peking University and a bachelor’s degree in Information Management from Beijing Foreign Studies University.

Mark Ebbinghaus
Chairman, Europe & Middle East

Mr. Mark Ebbinghaus is responsible for identifying business and investment opportunities, including REITs, private funds and other fund management-related platforms via mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Ebbinghaus has more than 35 years of experience in the real estate sector, of which more than 20 were in public market equities and investment banking. Prior to joining ARA, he was Global Head of Industries (2014 to 2017) and Global Head of Real Estate (2009 to 2017) at Standard Chartered Bank (SCB). In his role as Global Head of Industries, he was responsible for all of SCB’s industries banking efforts covering the Real Estate, Hospitality & Leisure, Oil & Gas, Metals & Mining as well as the Infrastructure, Telco/Technology & Transportation businesses. He led the effort to form the Industries Group within SCB and aligned all the sector expertise within the Bank’s Corporate Finance and Origination businesses across the global franchise.

Prior to joining SCB, Mr. Ebbinghaus was Asia Head of Real Estate Lodging & Leisure Investment Banking for UBS, where he spearheaded the establishment and development of its real estate investment banking franchise. Prior to investment banking, Mr. Ebbinghaus was a top-rated equities research analyst covering real estate, developers and contractors, and the hotel sector. He spent five years at JLW Advisory (a former division of Jones Lang LaSalle) where he was Head of Strategic Investment Advice for their Australian business. In this role, Mr. Ebbinghaus was responsible for asset allocation, strategic investment and divestment advice and asset management for several leading direct real estate investors and pension plans.

Mr. Ebbinghaus holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Adelaide and a Master of Real Estate and Finance from the University of South Australia. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a full member of both the CFA Institute and the Australian Property Institute.

Jihun Kang​​
Chief Investment Officer, ESR Korea

Mr. Jihun Kang is the Chief Investment Officer of ESR Kendall Square, the Group’s South Korea Platform. He has over 18 years of experience in real estate investment, development and fund management. He was formerly Executive Director of Kendall Square Partners, Vice President of Prologis Korea and Director of Business Development at AMB Property Corporation. Mr. Kang holds a master’s degree in real estate development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Masters in Architecture from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering from Yonsei University.

Chang Rui Hua
Managing Director, Business Management and Investment, ESR Hong Kong

Ms. Chang Rui Hua has been appointed as Managing Director, Business Management and Investment, ESR Hong Kong since April 2023. She focuses on looking after our business in Hong Kong region, including our fund management arm and lead our China REIT initiatives and execution. Ms. Chang will also hold the concurrent role of Executive Director and Responsible Officer for ESR HK Asset Management Limited (the fund management arm for Hong Kong).​

Ms. Chang was previously Group Head, Capital Markets and Investor Relations for the Group, managing capital and public market activities including strategic merger and acquisition investments at ESR group level; leads the Group’s investor relations function and provides insights on market developments.​

Before joining ESR, Ms. Chang was with the CapitaLand Group for six years, where she was leading the Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, Corporate Planning and fund raising in China; as well as the CapitaLand Group’s Investor Relations and Capital Markets Compliance based in Singapore. She was also a key member of the team that led the privatisation of CapitaMall Asia in 2014. Prior to that, Ms. Chang was an investment banker with China International Capital Corporation and DBS Bank Ltd from 2006 to 2013.

Ms. Chang holds a Masters’ in International Public Policy (Merit) from University College London, Department of Politics and a BSc in Social Science, Economics (2nd Upper Class Honors) from the National University of Singapore. She completed the Advanced Management Programme at Booth School of Business, University of Chicago. She is also a holder of the International Certificate of Investor Relations (ICIR) and Chartered Manager Fellow.

Hideaki Matsunami​
Managing Director, ESR Japan

Mr. Hideaki Matsunami has over 40 years of real estate experience in Japan. Prior to joining ESR (formerly the Redwood group) in 2011, he was the Senior Vice President in AMB Japan and Prologis Japan between 2000-2011. He also held key positions for Shimizu Corporation, one of the leading construction companies in Japan for 29 years. A licensed Japanese Broker and licensed first-class Architect, Mr. Matsunami was graduated from the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, The University of Tokyo.

Diarmid Massey​
Chief Executive Officer, Data Centres, ESR

As CEO of the ESR Data Centres business, Diarmid is driving the strategy, growing the platform across key cities in Asia Pacific, leading the team to identify new business and investment opportunities; overseeing investment evaluation of opportunities in the market; managing and executing deal structures whilst providing industry-leading, environmentally conscious buildings to regional operators and hyperscalers.

In his previous 7+ year role as SVP, Sales Asia Pacific for Equinix, Diarmid was responsible for the P&L for the AP-wide business and a key member of the investment team strategizing and approving regional expansions, entering new markets and integrating three acquisitions.

Previously, he was integral to creation of Vodafone Carrier Services globally, consolidated operating units, and partners, in Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific.

Whilst, in earlier roles, he established and grew Asia businesses for 3 US high-tech start-ups – Atlas, ITXC, and NexTone. During his, 35+ year, career he has been based in London, Wellington, Singapore, Sydney, Hong Kong and Tokyo and has regularly been on the Board of both corporate regional subsidiaries, and JVs, as well as driving M&A activity regionally.

Sanghwoi Bae
Chief Executive Officer, ESR Kendall Square REIT

Mr. Sanghwoi Bae joined ESR Kendall Square in 2019 as the head of Income JV investment. He then joined Kendall Square REIT Management to spearhead ESR Kendall Square REIT’s (KOSPI 365550, the “REIT”) IPO and investment. After completing the REIT IPO at the end of 2020, he became the CEO of the REIT Management.

Mr. Bae has 15 years of Korean real estate investment experience. He held roles across the investment banking and private equity in real estate spectrum in various financial institutions, including LaSalle Investment Management and Hana Financial Group. Mr. Bae received his Bachelor of Art degree in International Relations from Boston University.

Adrian Chui
Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director, ESR-REIT

Mr. Adrian Chui has been the CEO and Executive Director of ESR-REIT Management (S) Limited (formerly known as ESR-LOGOS Funds Management (S) Limited) since March 2017. He has over 20 years of real estate experience in Singapore and ASEAN. He was previously Managing Director, Head of Singapore Real Estate and Head of Southeast Asia Real Estate Advisory at Standard Chartered Bank, Director of Real Estate, Lodging and Leisure Group at UBS Investment Bank Singapore; and Lead Property Research Analyst at Morgan Stanley Asia (Singapore) Securities Pte Ltd. Mr. Chui has held management roles at CapitaCommercial Trust Management Limited, and was part of the pioneer management team of Ascendas Funds Management (S) Limited. He holds a Bachelor of Business from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

Justina Chiu
Chief Executive Officer, Fortune REIT

Ms. Chiu Yu, Justina, is Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of ESR Asset Management (Fortune) Limited, the manager of Fortune REIT (“Manager”) and is responsible for the overall performance and strategic direction of Fortune REIT. She is also Chairman of the Manager’s Disclosures and Designated Committees.

Prior to this, she was Deputy CEO of the Manager, responsible for the day-to-day management of Fortune REIT from 2010 to 2015 and Chief Operating Officer of the Manager overseeing strategic planning, investment, asset management and investor relations from 2009 to 2010.

Ms. Chiu holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Economics and Finance, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance, a Postgraduate Certificate in Laws and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law. She is also a solicitor of the High Court of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, a CFA charterholder, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

Mavis Wong
Chief Executive Officer, Prosperity REIT

Ms. Mavis Wong is Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director and a responsible officer of ESR Asset Management (Prosperity) Limited. Ms. Wong is also Chairman of the Disclosures Committee and a member of the Designated (Finance) Committee. She has also led and/or been a key member of the investment and asset management team since Prosperity REIT was listed in December 2005.

Prior to her appointment as Acting CEO and subsequently CEO on 1 January 2013, Ms. Wong was Director, Investment and Asset Management overseeing the business plans of Prosperity REIT’s properties including leasing, property management and asset enhancement strategies and was responsible for investment strategy and policy.

Ms. Wong has over 25 years of real estate industry experience. Prior to joining the Group, she worked in the leasing, marketing and asset/property management departments of various developers, management companies and corporations including Cheung Kong (Holdings) Limited, New World Development Company Limited, Jardine Matheson & Co., Limited, Goodwill Management Limited (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Henderson Land Development Company Limited) and Yaohan Department Store (HK) Limited. Ms. Wong is a member of The Hong Kong Institute of Directors.

Ms. Wong holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, a Postgraduate Certification in Hong Kong Law from City University of Hong Kong and a Diploma in Property Development from SPACE, University of Hong Kong.

Chong Kee Hiong
Chief Executive Officer, Suntec REIT

Mr. Chong Kee Hiong is CEO and Executive Director of ESR Trust Management (Suntec) Limited. He is also a Director of One Raffles Quay Pte. Ltd. and a Partners’ Representative of BFC Development LLP.

Mr. Chong has 30 years of financial and management experience. Prior to joining the manager of Suntec REIT, Mr. Chong was CEO of OUE Hospitality REIT Management Pte Ltd from 2013 to 2018, CEO of The Ascott Limited from 2012 to 2013 and CEO of Ascott Residence Trust Management Limited from 2005 to 2012. Prior to that, he was Chief Financial Officer of Raffles Holdings Limited from 2001 to 2004. Mr. Chong began his career in audit with KPMG Peat Marwick in 1990.

Mr. Chong is currently President of the General Committee of Orchid Country Club and Aranda Country Club. He is the Chairman and Non-Executive Director of Foodfare Catering Pte Ltd. Mr. Chong is also an elected Member of Parliament for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC.

Mr. Chong holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the National University of Singapore and completed the Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program in 2008. He is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.
