Designed with Customers in Mind – R:KIDS

In Japan, our facilities boast a suite of human centric features, including children’s day-care centres known as “R:KIDS”, within large scale facilities exceeding 100,000 sqm. Managed by licensed day-care providers and offered free of charge, ESR’s R:KIDS provide high-quality bilingual childcare services which have been well received by families who work for the tenant companies in these facilities. Not only does this initiative supports ESR’s customers in attracting and keeping the talent they need — particularly working mothers, it also improves the well-being of on-site employees and workforce productivity, whilst creating greater inclusiveness, diversity and flexibility.

Due to such high demand for this initiative, ESR opened the Summer and Winter Schools hosted within the R:KIDS space at ESR Kuki Distribution Centre.  English lessons by native instructors, art & craft workshops, drama and exercise classes are offered to boost children’s interaction. To date, there are nine R:KIDS established in Japan.
